Registration overview

  • All fees are listed in EUR per person.
  • ECIR 2026 is an in-person conference in Delft, The Netherlands, from 30 March – 1 April 2026, with tutorials/workshops on 29 March and workshops/Industry day on 2 April 2026 at Lijm & Cultuur.
  • Member fees apply to ACM / ACM SIGIR / BCS IRSG members or other societies recognised by the organisers.
  • Student fees are for full-time students (BSc, MSc, PhD). Proof of enrolment may be requested at the registration desk.
  • Early-bird rates apply from 1 December 2025 to 18 January 2026. Author registrations must meet the author registration deadline.
  • All prices include applicable Dutch VAT unless stated otherwise. Payments are handled securely via the conference platform.
  • After payment, cancellations and refunds are not possible; however, you may nominate a colleague to attend in your place.

ECIR 2026 – MAIN CONFERENCE PASSPORT

Main conference Passport registration includes access to the main Conference, the workshops and the Industryday.

The following fees are fixed-rate and not part of the early/regular/late discount schedule:
Accompanying Person€ 155An accompanying partner is a companion of a registered participant who joins the social programme only (welcome reception, conference dinner, and optional tours) and does not attend the scientific sessions. Can be bought during the registration process.

One-day tickets (only for the Tutorials / Workshops & Industry Day)

  • Sunday workshops– are held at the AULA TU Delft.
  • Thursday workshops and Industry day workshop – one-day workshops and Industry Day, to be held at the conference venue.
  • These tickets follow the same student, non-member, and member categories as the full conference registration.
  • Sunday Day Passes include tickets for the Welcome Reception.

Registration opens on December 01, 2025. Early registration ends on January 18, 2026. Regular registration ends on February 15, 2026.

Important notes

  • Each accepted paper must be covered by at least one author registration by the author registration deadline to be included in the proceedings.
  • Early-bird fees apply only if payment is received before the early-bird deadline. Late payment may move your registration to the regular or late fee.
  • If you require a visa, please register and pay as early as possible to allow sufficient time for the visa process.
  • Invoices will be issued in EUR and sent by email after successful registration and payment.

Visa invitation letters

Participants are responsible for checking whether they need a short-stay Schengen visa to visit the Netherlands and for completing their own visa application.

Invitation letters are issued only to registered and fully paid delegates. More info on the visa proces can be found here.

Once your registration is confirmed and payment is completed, you can download your visa letter directly from your account:

  1. Log in to the ECIR 2026 website.
  2. Click on your name in the top-right corner and select "My Profile".
  3. On your profile page, click the "Generate Visa Letter" button to create and download your letter.
  • The invitation letter supports your visa application but does not guarantee that a visa will be granted.
  • For official information on visa requirements and Dutch embassies/consulates, please refer to the website of the Government of the Netherlands.

Certificates of attendance

  • Digital Certificates of Attendance will be provided to registered participants who attend the conference on site.
  • Certificates will be made available after the conference (for example as a downloadable PDF or via email).
  • If you present a paper, poster, demo or tutorial, the certificate can state your role, provided this information is available in the conference system.
  • If you require specific wording for institutional reporting, please contact the organisers during or shortly after the conference.
